These pants are made using old Japanese cotton/linen cloth.

The fabric is made from cotton in the warp and hemp in the weft, and was woven during the Meiji to Taisho periods.

This fabric is found in cloth, and has the swaying and moving feel of linen and the soft feel of cotton, giving it a nice, atmospheric look. At first glance, it looks plain, but it's a striped fabric, and when it gets wet, such as when washing, the pattern comes out.

I wash the cloth once when it is made and once after it is finished, but it still has the tension of unused cloth. Please enjoy the process of the fabric becoming soft and familiar as you wear it.

The front top and back pocket buttons are old French wood buttons, and the front buttons are bone buttons. At first glance, it looks like wood, but instead of using chemical dyes, it is dyed with natural dyes over and over again until it reaches the desired color.

The buttons are attached one by one using hand-made root wraps. The buckle is also an old French item. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected. I feel that Japanese fabrics are made by people around the world and are made with great care. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as pants .

*This piece was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.

*This is a fabric that is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
