These pants are made using old Japanese indigo-dyed cotton cloth .

The fabric used is an unraveled indigo-dyed cotton furoshiki from the Meiji to Taisho eras.

The fabric is densely woven with thick cotton threads, giving it a slightly thick texture. The indigo color on the back of the original furoshiki was an indescribably nice color, so I used the back as the outer material. The areas where there were small holes have also been repaired so that they do not feel strange.

Old French wood buttons are used for the front button, top button, and back pocket, and each one is attached by hand with a root wrap. The buckle is also an old French item. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel that Japanese fabrics are made by people around the world and are of high quality. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as pants .

*This piece was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.

*This is a fabric that is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
