These pants are made using old Japanese linen indigo-dyed cloth.

The fabric used was originally worn as a kimono during the Meiji and Taisho periods.

The fabric has a unique swaying and moving feel that is unique to linen, and the indigo dyeing is also deeply dyed, giving it a nice, atmospheric look. There is something special about the texture of the fabric, as if it were falling under the weight of the fabric. It was a little see-through when worn alone, so I made it in two pieces using striped linen fabric from the same era. The material is linen/silk. The white part is silk.

Old French wood buttons are used for the front button, top button, and back pocket, and each one is attached by hand with a root wrap. The buckle is also an old French item. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected. I feel that Japanese fabrics are made by people around the world and are made with great care. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as pants .

*This piece was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.

*This is a fabric that is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
