NEWSBOY CAP made from old Japanese indigo-dyed hemp fabric.

The fabric used is striped linen fabric from the Meiji to Taisho eras.

The hand-woven fabric is woven loosely using thick hemp threads, giving it a unique texture with the movement that only hemp can provide.The striped pattern of the warp threads are created by only one thick white thread, so there are evenly spaced gaps. This creates a sashiko-like impression.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected. Makes me feel.

The fabric used for the lining is old hemp cloth, and the slip (inside tape) and piping tape are all made from old Japanese cloth.

Japanese old cloth tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothing, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you realize that it is a wonderful fabric that has been hand-crafted and that can be proud of to the world.

Why not try incorporating good old things into your daily life that are not found in modern times?

 *The fabric is made nearly 100 years ago. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
