NORA JACKET② ~ french salt & pepper fabric ~

Based on the 1946 Japanese national railway jacket, the design is based on the specifications found in old French workwear, and is also made using French dead stock, salt and pepper fabric from the 1920s and 1930s. It is a jacket.

The fabric is a twill weave of French salt and pepper (salt and pepper), which is found in dead stock cloth.

It is woven using a twist of two black and white threads called 杢 thread, and you can feel the unique color and texture woven in the old age .

In the state of the dough, wash the product several times and once. In the future, since it is a dead stock fabric, the texture will become softer and will change over time.

It is a Japanese National Railways jacket based on the shape, but because it is a raglan sleeve, the shoulder line will fall off nicely. The width of the body is wide to the hem, and the silhouette of the A-line and the wide armhole make it easy to wear.

This jacket is a little narrower than the previous "NORA JACKET", has a shorter length, and has a narrower opening around the neck. It is recommended for those who want to wear it in a reasonable size rather than wearing it in a large size.

The button is a French vintage wood button.

Buttonholes and can stoppers are hand-sewn to match the atmosphere of old fabrics. You can feel the warmth that machines can't put out.

Button attachment is a hand-made root wrap that uses an old glass button as a force button.

It's a simple but detailed piece of clothing.

As it is finished with one piece without a back, it is light and comfortable to wear and can be worn like a shirt. Please enjoy the one and only one-of-a-kind jacket.

* This work is all sewn with an old foot-operated sewing machine. At first glance, you may not understand it, but I hope you enjoy the "fluctuation" -like seams that come out because of human power rather than electric power.
