NORA JACKET~Japan old ramie fabric~

It was created using old Japanese linen cloth, with the image of a work jacket that would have been made in an era before the creation of mass production processes, when things were not yet developed, regardless of the country. This is a work that I did.

The fabric is linen kimono worn during the Meiji to Taisho periods.

The fabric has a unique flutter and movement that is unique to linen, and the fabric is woven with thin threads, so it looks light at first glance, but it has a nice, sturdy look. There is something special about the texture of the fabric, as if it were falling under the weight of the fabric.

The buttons are French vintage shell buttons, and the power buttons are also made of shell buttons, and each one is attached by hand with a neck wrap. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel that Japanese fabrics are made by people around the world and are made with great care. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as pants .

*This piece was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. It might not be obvious at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are created by hand rather than electric.

*This is a fabric that is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
