NORA JACKET~Japan old indigo linen fabric~

It was created using old Japanese linen cloth, with the image of a work jacket that would have been made in an era before mass production processes were created, when things had not yet developed, regardless of the country. This is a work that I did.

The fabric is linen kimono, which was worn around the Taisho period.

The fabric has a unique movement that is unique to linen, and the fabric is woven with thin threads, making it look light at first glance, but it has a sturdy and atmospheric feel to it. It still has some tension, so it will get used to it and become softer as you wear it.

The buttons are French vintage shell buttons, and shell buttons are used in the same way as the force buttons, and each one is attached by hand with a neck wrap. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel that Japanese fabrics are wonderful fabrics made by people that can be proud of around the world. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as a jacket .

Why not incorporate good old things into your daily life that are not found in modern times?

*This work was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.

*As you can see in the photo, the fabric is thin and transparent. The picture shows her wearing white long sleeves, and when she wears short sleeves, the border between the sleeves and the background is completely transparent.

*The fabric is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
