The detailed specifications are that of a jacket worn after the war in Japan, but I created it using old Japanese linen fabric, incorporating the details I like and imagining the somewhat loose feel of an old item. It is a work.

It has short raglan sleeves and a loose silhouette throughout, including around the arms and width of the body.

The fabric is linen kimono, which was worn during the Meiji and Taisho periods.

The warp threads are dyed dark indigo and light indigo dyed on linen thread, the white threads are silk thread, and the weft threads are indigo dyed linen thread.

The fabric is roughly woven with thick hemp threads, giving it a rugged feel, but the addition of silk threads gives it a unique, sophisticated feel. It has a unique texture with the swaying movement that is unique to linen, and it has a heavy feel, and the texture that feels like it's falling under the weight of the fabric is something special.

As you wear it, the linen will become softer and more familiar. You can enjoy the change in texture as well as the change in dyeing.

The buttons are old Japanese wood buttons dyed with ink , and the power buttons are shell buttons, each of which is attached by hand with a neck wrap. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel that Japanese fabrics are wonderful fabrics made by people that can be proud of around the world. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as a jacket .

Why not incorporate good old things into your daily life that are not found in modern times?

*This work was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.

*The fabric is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
