This is a SAILOR HAT that uses BORO, which gives off an outstanding atmosphere over the years.

BORO refers to worn cloth, worn and torn clothing, or patched clothing. Sashiko is a handicraft technique that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times.

The BORO used for the front has been used in people's daily lives for more than 100 years, and has been washed and used for generations to reinforce damaged areas and protect against the cold. The texture of the fabric is soft, and it has a gentle atmosphere because it has been living for a long time.

The parts that were sewn with cotton thread at the time are also kept intact. The design and the way the threads are run by hand, which is not something I imitated by looking at it, creates an indescribable atmosphere.

The fabric used for the back is also made of old Japanese cloth with a good atmosphere.

The design is based on the US Navy sailor hat, so the brim stitches are finely stitched like the hats of the time. Please enjoy the expression of fine stitching.

I make use of damage and fraying as they are. You can't make the same thing twice.
