NEWSBOY CAP using BORO.

BORO refers to used cloth, worn and torn clothing, or clothing full of patches. Sashiko is a handicraft technique that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times, and is used to strengthen damaged cloth and protect it from the cold. It is said that it began with sashiko stitching on clothing for the sake of people.

The BORO used for the front is a cloth from the Meiji to Taisho periods that has been used in people's daily lives for over 100 years, washed, and used for generations to strengthen damaged areas and protect against the cold. The fabric was applied across the crab, and sashiko was applied to create a BORO.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. It's brewing.

The parts that were sewn with cotton thread at the time are still intact. There is something indescribable about the way the threads run by hand, not by design or by imitation.

The fabric used for the lining is also an old cotton cloth with a nice atmosphere.

We make use of damage and fraying as is. You can never make the same thing twice.

Please enjoy this unique one-of-a-kind cap.
