NORA BAG~type newspaper~french old linen fabric

Based on the bag used by the newspaper deliveryman, it is a news paper bag made using FRENCH VINTAGE hemp fabric.

The fabric used is a French hemp herringbone striped fabric that seems to be from the 1940s and 1950s. I don't know what it was originally used for, but there were some parts where nails were left, so I think it was like a cover to cover something.

Repairs were done here and there, and the place where the eyelets were put on with cloth, and the cloth with the yellow-green line of hemp was applied. Cut and finished.

The color alone makes it look a little flashy, but over time it has grown into a fabric with a unique vintage feel. As for the impression, it's not just flashy, but it has a calm atmosphere.

The same fabric is used for the lining so that the front is visible. So the back side has a clearer color.

The buttons used French vintage animal buttons. Even just one button has a strong presence. The power button is also a vintage milk glass button.

It is a simple design with only the button used to close the attached part without adjusting the length of the shoulder belt.

*This work is sewn entirely with an old treadle sewing machine. You may not be able to tell at first glance, but I hope you will enjoy the "fluctuation" of the seams, which can only be achieved by human power rather than by electric power.
