NORA BAG~type postman~french old fabric
This bag was created using old French striped cotton fabric, with the design source being a bag used by postal workers.
The fabric used is a slightly thick cotton twill striped fabric from France, probably from the 1930s or 1940s. It was probably used as a rug at the time, and the repair marks from when it was used after being repaired give it a nice atmosphere and add a nice accent.
Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected. I feel it.
The inner fabric is the same as the outer fabric, giving it a sturdy feel.
The buttons on the flap are vintage French animal buttons, and shell buttons are used for the small pocket that comes when the flap is opened and the inside pocket.
The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.
The shoulder belt is designed to be fastened by passing it through a hole and tying it. You can adjust it to your desired length by tying the knot.

*This work was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.
