NEWSBOY CAP made from old Japanese linen fabric.
The fabric used is unraveled indigo-dyed linen kimono from the Taisho to early Showa eras.
It has the tension that only hemp can provide, but it has a unique texture with a swaying movement, and the fabric is woven with slightly thicker threads, giving it a heavy feel. The indigo dyeing remains strong, so you can enjoy how it will change over time.
The fabric used for the lining, the sliding tape (inside tape), and the piping tape are all made from old Japanese hemp cloth. It has a breathable finish and is lightweight and easy to wear.
Japanese old cloth tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothing, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you realize that it is a wonderful fabric that has been hand-crafted and that can be proud of to the world.
Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel it.

*The fabric is made nearly 100 years ago. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
