NEWSBOY CAP made from old Japanese linen fabric.

The fabric used is an old cotton/linen cloth that was woven around the Meiji to Taisho periods, with the warp being cotton thread and the weft being linen thread.

Although it contains cotton, the fabric is hand-woven with a slightly rough texture using thick threads, giving it a sense of movement and texture that is unique to linen.

Most likely, it was dyed in the early Showa period or later. It's a dark gray, more greenish than black. It has a unique look that is different from indigo dyeing.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel it.

The fabric used for the back is the same old cotton/linen cloth as the front, and the slip (inside tape) and piping tape are all made from Japanese linen old cloth. It has a breathable finish and is easy to wear.

Japanese old cloth tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothing, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you realize that it is a wonderful fabric that has been hand-crafted and that can be proud of to the world.

Why not incorporate good old things into your daily life that are not found in modern times?

*The fabric is made nearly 100 years ago. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.

*Please wash separately as there is a possibility of color transfer when washing.
