NEWSBOY CAP made from old Japanese indigo-dyed hemp fabric.

The fabric used is an old indigo-dyed linen cloth woven during the Meiji to Taisho periods. Cotton could not be grown in the Tohoku region, so linen cloth was widely distributed.

It has the movement and tension that is unique to linen, and although it is slightly sheer due to the thin threads, it creates a solid and solid atmosphere. The hemp threads are partially faded, giving it a unique look that is not too pretty and attracts the eye.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected. I feel it.

The fabric used for the back is old hemp cloth, and the slip (inside tape) and piping tape are all made from old Japanese hemp cloth. It has a breathable finish and is easy to wear.

Japanese old cloth tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothing, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you realize that it is a wonderful fabric that has been hand-crafted and that can be proud of to the world.
