NEWSBOY CAP made of old Japanese cotton and silk fabric.

The fabric used is an indigo-dyed, cotton and silk kimono from the Taisho era.

The brown threads that make up the lattice pattern are made from silk, and the rest is made from cotton threads. It has a solid cotton texture, but the brown silk thread has a slight shine, giving it a somewhat classic feel.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected of them. I feel it.

The fabric used for the lining, the sliding tape (inside tape), and the piping tape are all made from old Japanese cloth, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the fabric feels and looks as it ages.

Japanese old cloth tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothing, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you realize that it is a wonderful fabric that has been hand-crafted and that can be proud of to the world.

*The fabric is made nearly 100 years ago. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.

*Due to the dyeing process, the color transfers easily when washing, so we recommend washing it alone and not with other items. I think the color will also transfer to the old cloth used for the lining, but I hope you enjoy it as a change.
