NEWSBOY CAP made of old Japanese indigo-dyed cotton linen fabric.

The fabric used is an old indigo-dyed cotton and linen cloth woven from the Meiji to Taisho periods.The lighter indigo areas are linen (cannabis), and the darker indigo areas are stripes woven with cotton thread. This is an old cloth.

Although it is made of cotton and linen, it has a unique texture with the sway and movement that is unique to linen.Compared to the modern era of wealth, it was used in a harsh time when people were poor and had nothing else to do, and the world was completely different. The expression of the cloth that was created has a unique atmosphere that can only be created at that time, something that could not be created even if you wanted to.

The fabric used for the lining, the sliding tape (inside tape), and the piping tape are all made from old Japanese hemp cloth, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the fabric feels and looks as it ages.

Japanese old cloth tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothing, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you realize that it is a wonderful fabric that has been hand-crafted and that can be proud of to the world.
