Based on the details of an old French work jacket, this work is made using Japanese indigo-dyed old cloth.

The fabric used is a fabric that was unraveled from the work clothes that were worn around the Taisho to early Showa eras. The outer material was indigo dyed cotton, and the hem of the back body was repaired with old indigo cloth. The lining was made of indigo lattice fabric, and the color of the front and back was very exquisite, so I used it as it was. Using old cloth, and using old cloth with a good Japanese texture for the lining of the sleeves, it has been reborn as a jacket.

I think that Japanese fabrics are world-class and have a good texture with elaborate expressions, so please try to feel the fabric that has been reborn as a jacket.

The button is a French vintage bone (bone) button. At first glance, it looks like wood, but no chemical dyes are used, and natural dyes are used over and over until the color is just right. Please enjoy the buttons with different expressions one by one. In addition, vintage glass buttons are used for the power buttons, and each one is attached with a hand-wrapped neck. Buttonholes and clasps are hand-sewn to match the atmosphere of old fabrics. I think that you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by machines.

You can't get the exact same fabric, and even if you do, you can't make the same thing twice. I feel that the cloth that is sewn by hand stitch by stitch gives a truly rich expression to each piece.

*This work is sewn entirely with an old treadle sewing machine. You may not understand it at first glance, but I hope you will enjoy the "fluctuation" of the seams that can only be produced by human power rather than by electric power.

*It will be the fabric of nearly 100 years ago. In order to enjoy it for a long time, please wash it after soaking it, and put it in a net for dehydration and turn it lightly.
