The design is based on a Japanese shirt from the early 1900s, and is made using old Japanese linen cloth.

The shirt the design is based on is from CHOYA SHIRT, a long-established shirt brand founded in 1887, and the shirt the design is based on is one from the early 1900s. The design on the front, the cut of the hem, and the fine gathers in the center of the back make it a very nice design.

The fabric used is linen striped long kimono that was woven and worn around the early Showa period.

There is a movement in the fabric that is unique to hemp, but it has a slightly crisp feel that is difficult to express, but it has a fluffy and light texture. Although it is light in weight, it retains the original atmosphere of the cloth. It's not a dark indigo dye, but a striped pattern woven with black and white thread.

When making a shirt, the sleeves are hand-sewn as an afterthought, and the buttonholes are also hand-sewn. It may be a little more comfortable to wear and the buttons may not fit, but I would like people to see it as a specification that is more suitable for old fabrics and enjoy the warmth of handiwork that cannot be produced by machines.

The buttons are old Japanese wood buttons dyed with ink, and the buttons are attached using a bird's foot method. By shifting the center of gravity, one side floats, making it easier to attach. This is a meaningful way to attach it, but please enjoy it as one of the small points we paid attention to.

Cotton thread is used to match the vintage atmosphere.

Compared to today's prosperous times, people were poor and that was all they had, and the world was completely different from what was expected. I feel that Japanese fabrics are wonderful fabrics made by people that can be proud of around the world. Please feel the fabric that has been reborn as a shirt .

Why not try incorporating good old things into your daily life that are not found in modern times?

*This piece was sewn using an old treadle sewing machine. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but we hope you enjoy the loose seams that are produced by hand rather than electric power.

*This is a fabric that is over 100 years old. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
