The design-based shirt is from the well-established shirt brand "CHOYA SHIRT" founded in 1887, and the base shirt is the first one in the early 1900s. The front specifications, the cut at the hem, and the gathers that are finely placed in the center of the back have a very nice design.

The fabric used is indigo dyed old cloth that was woven and used in the early Showa period. The atmosphere of the fabric created by the secular variation over a long period of nearly 100 years makes you feel that there is something special. The texture is a solid texture that feels a little hard, and it is a good fabric that feels the texture of cotton.

As you wear it, you will become familiar with it, so you can enjoy aging.

When making the shirt, the sleeves are hand-sewn afterwards, and the buttonholes are also hand-sewn. There may be some comfort in wearing and buttons, but I would like you to enjoy the atmosphere by seeing it as a specification that suits older fabrics.

Buttons are also attached with the specifications of bird feet. It is a meaningful way to attach it because the center of gravity shifts and one side floats, but please enjoy it as one of the small points that you are particular about.

The button is a French antique Papier-mache button made by compressing paper and hardening it with glue.
Originally popular in the West, Japonisme was made with Japanese lacquer ware in mind.
In the present age, which is more than 100 years old, it is interesting to see that this papie mache button is attached to a shirt made of Japanese indigo dyed old cloth.

The thread uses cotton thread to match the old fabric.
