The shirt based on the design is from the long-established shirt brand "CHOYA SHIRT" founded in 1887, and the shirt based on it is one from the early 1900s. The design on the front, the cut at the hem, and the fine gathers in the center of the back give it a very nice design.

The fabric used is an old cloth that was woven and used in the Meiji to Taisho period. It is a cloth that was used as a futon at the time, and it is a fabric that has a very good atmosphere with a firm texture that is hand-spun and hand-woven. The lattice pattern is also composed of various colors such as dark indigo, bright blue, light blue, beige, and white, and it feels a little different from the modern check pattern. Don't dare to match the patterns, please enjoy the patterns arranged by the artist's sense.

I think that Japanese fabrics are world-class and well-crafted fabrics, so please try to feel the fabrics that have been reborn as shirts.

When making the shirt, the sleeves are hand-sewn and the buttonholes are also hand-sewn. There may be some issues with the fit and the comfort of the buttons, but I would like you to see it as a specification that matches the old fabric more than that, and enjoy the atmosphere.

The buttons are French vintage metal buttons. Each piece has a different look due to aging.

We use cotton threads to match old fabrics.
