NORA SHIRT~type pullover~②early showa

This is a pullover type shirt made from JAPAN VINTAGE indigo-dyed old cotton cloth and based on the French Grandpa shirt design.

The fabric used is a flannel fabric that was woven in the early Showa period and is characterized by its brushed surface.

It is a fabric found in tanmono, and the striped pattern does not give a Japanese atmosphere, so this fabric is probably cotton flannel. The texture is fluffy and soft.

There was an old Japanese shirt that used flannel fabric and the collar was switched with a different fabric, so I made it based on that shirt. The fabric used for the collar is also made of cotton fabric that is about the same age, so I think it will blend in with the fabric of the body as you wear it.

Old Japanese fabric tends to have a strong image of Japanese clothes, but when you look at the fabric without being bound by that stereotype, you can be proud of the Japanese fabric, and I think that it is a good fabric that is made by people.

Please feel the fabric with your skin.

In making the shirt, the sleeves are hand-sewn and the buttonholes are also hand-sewn. There may be some issues with the fit and the comfort of the buttons, but I would like you to see it as a specification that matches the old fabric more than that, and enjoy the atmosphere.

Button attachment is also attached with the specification of bird foot attachment. By shifting the center of gravity, one side floats, making it easier to wear.

The button uses a French vintage shell button.

We use cotton threads to match old fabrics.

Please try to incorporate the good old things that are not in modern times into your daily life.

*This work is sewn entirely with an old treadle sewing machine. You may not understand it at first glance, but I hope you will enjoy the "fluctuation" of the seams that can only be produced by human power rather than by electric power.

*It will be the fabric of nearly 100 years ago. In order to enjoy it for a long time, please wash it after soaking it, and put it in a net for dehydration.
