NORA DOUBLE JACKET~quilt fabric~

The design is based on the details of old French work jackets, and is made using old Japanese cloth.

The fabric I used is a sesame-salt fabric made from Japanese wartime and post-war cotton. The sleeves are an old cotton indigo-dyed cloth from the Taisho to early Showa periods. The indigo-dyed old cloth still has a deep color, so I think it will continue to grow in its atmosphere.

The lining is also made of old Japanese cotton cloth that is soft to the touch.

Regarding the cotton inside, we take out the natural cotton that was in old Japanese night comforters made over 100 years ago, spread it on old cloth, and pound it with a sewing machine to create the fabric for the quilt. The condition of the cotton when I took it out was white in color, and as I imagined it, the cotton part of the cotton was still intact, but there were also small debris such as leaves and seeds, so I can't say for sure. It gave me a feeling of an old era atmosphere.

The buttons are vintage French wood buttons. In addition, vintage glass buttons are used for the power buttons, and each one is attached by hand with a neck wrap. The buttonholes and button closures are hand-sewn to match the feel of the old fabric. I think you can feel something like warmth that cannot be produced by a machine.

*This is old fabric. In order to enjoy it for a long time to come, please soak it in the wash before washing, and spin it gently by placing it in a net for dehydration.
